2010 F150 accereration

I just switched back to the F150, been driving F250-350 diesels since 2003, anyway, I've noticed when taking off from a stop sign etc. and getting on the gas pretty good,( I've missed that V8 gas engine rumble), the truck seems to hesitate or kinda like, almost a miss feeling during the acceleration. Forgot to tell y'all the specifics, 2010 5.4L 4x4 3.73 axles. anyway my wife just got her new 2010 expedition, traded in 2007 expedition, she says she feels the exact same "feeling" like a miss or slight hesitation when accelerating faster than the normal. Just wondering if anybody else noticed it or a possible explanation.
