Plastic rain shield works perfect!
I discovered this new product that works great and keeps water droplets off of the camera lens. It is a glass-like clear, adhesive mounted plastic shield that keeps water away in a hard driving rain or mist, including water kicked up from the road. It is hardly noticable. You can buy them here - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Back-up-Came...a4c121&vxp=mtr

LOL! "It rained once, and now my backup camera is blurry..." I live in the Seattle area, it's been raining since October. Every few days I just wipe my thumb on the lens to clean it off. Works great. I agree that it seems to be more about road spray, than rain that dirties the lens.
I'm really glad that we have had to come to this level of detail to for things to worry about on our trucks.
