I am waiting, but don't have much desire to replace my 2003 Screw yet. I can wait for the perfectly flat torque curve from 1500-5000rpm:

Expect a premium for a few months, maybe $3k instead of $5-6k others suggest.

I'm in the same boat. I can special order a 2010 4x4 Lariat & get exactly what I want & the price isn't bad. But the thought of the 2011 motor line up is pretty nice. Like others have said, I'm sure there will be a price increase too. I'm leaning towards ordering the 2010....now I'm leaning towards waiting lol. Hell, I don't know.

I am feeling the same way!! Thanks for all the responses. All are great points. I'm going to keep looking at 2010's, but not gonna get my heart set on one yet ( I hope).

My problem is I went & test drove a 2010 4x4 last weekend. And it fit in my garage. Damn thing was sweet.

I should add about the Ecoboost, better FE than any 2010 engine.

Either way, old motors or new, you're not gonna lose...

i have a post in this forum, i drove a '10 f250 supercab 4:30 v-10 back to back with '11 f250 supercab 4:30 6.2,the v-10 had more grunt down low ,which can be expected,BUT-at 3500 and above-in comparison to the v-10-the 385 horse/405 tq 6.2 pulled like a freight train1

I drove the 2010 a few months back and wanted to buy one in FX2 clothes. Since Ford seems to be coming out with new engines this year I decided to wait it out. So next year in April I will be buying my new truck. I figure I can wait a year, to have a larger down payment, and it gives Ford time to discover and fix any problems with the new engines. Most of the engines will have been in use in several other vehicle by then anyway, so any major mechanical issues should have been seen and dealt with.

I'm personally waiting to see 'official' power and fuel consumption stats for the new motors. I'll quite probably buy the 2011 EB...

I plan to own the truck for a long time, so it makes sense to wait a while and compare them side by side.
