I used to hate that when i had my first 01 screw. Ive had a job nonstop since i was 15. Full time since 18, and still went to school full time to get my degree, (and mommy and daddy didnt pay for that either).

And Hey, i agree 6in is just right, nice balance between tire size, ground clearance, and handling.

i think i would have been plowing the road if not for mine!

I think this thread got derailed though. My point was that making a Screw Raptor is like putting **** on a bull. If you need a Screw, buy any other model of F150. Don't try to change a hardcore truck into a family hauler. Lots of sensitivity here. Sorry I hurt your feelings. Grow up...this is the internet, don't take everything so personal. Peace!
I see what you are saying, and I agree with you. But welcome to the world of economics. It doesn't matter how ugly or impractical it is...if people will buy it, Ford will build it.

I'm sure you did... But 6" is too high for any viable off road vehicle in the mountains... Might be ok for mud or sand (as long as you don't get onto the side of a dune in an off camber situation). Too top heavy. 4" is really the max for anything without increasing the track width.

Well, for any other "retards" like myself who may want a SCrew Raptor, there is some good reading here...sounds like the extra foot of wheel base doesn't hamper off road performance at all.
