This was started in a thread for another model year and I thought we should start it for our "group" too.

List your 5 best and easiest mods under $150 for the 2009 and ups.

Pics would be nice too.

1. Install LED lighting in the interior.

2. Switch to Fusion/Edge key (fob built into key).

3. Bug screen across the radiator.

4. Tail gate lock/unlock kit.

5. Dee Zee EZ Down for tail gate.

6. Smaller radio antenna.

7. Swap head lights/fog lights for brighter bulbs.

You get the idea.

Tell me more about the tailgate lock/unlock kit. Is it remote or manual?

USB2 Mod: $2 for a female|female USB connector

Light Buster hitch light: $20

Intake/Gotts Mod: Free

Performance drop-in filter (K&N, Airraid, etc.): $40

Many will disagree with the performance air filters, but for me, that along with the Gotts mod is my most favorite mod so far. The little bit of throttle response and throatier sound are alone worth $40 to me. I've found myself breaking traction of the rear tires a lot easier than before.

You use you remote to lock/unlock. You install the part inside the tail gate and run the wires to the door sill. Tap the power door lock wires and you're set. The kit doesn't actually turn the lock per se, but has a bar that prevents the handle from being operated. I didn't know about this until after I ordered, but it works well.

I got mine from here:

http://www.dynolock.com/

The part number you need is FFS09CHSA

Get one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...Q5fAccessories

Go to Lowes or somewhere like that and get the key cut - program the new key yourself with the instructions in the owner's manual.

Now you loose the fob hanging off the keyring.

I use a K&N myself and have for many years without any problems.
