Anyone's tranny leaking? Mine is!

Anyone had problems with their tranny leaking? I came home from a week long trip and found a puddle of tranny fluid under the truck! Didn't notice any problems prior to leaving and of course since the damned tranny is "sealed", I cant check the fluid. I'd say it was a saucer sized diameter puddle. I have no idea what is leaking but a drip none the less.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry for not adding this info - the pic is taken from the passenger side and this leak is at the front right corner of the pan area.

Wow! I wonder how many other people will get the leak. Your leak is in the same area?

To tell you the truth, not really sure. Mine is in the front of the truck. Ill go out after the game to check the location of the leak.

Blacknight - holy cow! Thanks for the info and be sure to let me know what the dealer says the problem is - it'll be the middle/end of the week before I can get in.

If everyone followed that logic nobody would ever be driving a new vehicle and Ford would be out of business.

This is why new vehicles come with warranties.

trans output shaft seal by the looks of it(between trans and t-case). unless its coming from the vent on the top of the trans. have seen a few overfilled from the factory and leak out the vent.

but hey you got to remember the manual says it's sealed for a lifetime and not to worry!! (B.S.) everything these days just seems to have to have an issue...

Let us know how it goes at the dealer.
