Pulled the Trigger on a 2010 F-150
The time has come and my days of driving diesels are over. The EPA's cure seems to be far worse then the problem.
So as a result tonight I ordered a 2010 F-150 Lariat SCREW 4X4 in Tuxedo Black with Camel interior. I really wanted a Raptor but the 900 pound payload would not fit my lifestyle. The up side to this is my city driving should be better then 9 MPG.
My dealer said it should be here in 8 to 10 weeks because of the holiday break, but he will give me the VIN when he gets it so I can track it.

Nice!
Which trim did you get? Because more than likely it will be much nicer all around than the Raptor anyways, unless you get a low trim like the XL or STX, perhaps XLT. Every Ford dealer around me has an orange Raptor in stock. They're OK, but not as nice riding, or inside, as the Platinum's/KR's/Lariat's. They're also rather wide, paint doesn't seem as shiny, and grille is unique, yet rather plain. I'm sure all those things means nothing if you want a desert race truck or whatever, but that has to be an extremely niche market. Most people either drive their truck as a daily driver, or use it for business/work. I think you'll be very happy with your purchase!
Speaking of the Raptor, wonder if FMC will get rid of it for 2012 if they're redoing the F150 again... Anyone who needs a race desert truck ought to pick one up within the next 2 years if that's the case.

Good luck with your order. Mine took almost seven weeks, but I suspect it was due to the Tow Max Package and the way I had it all configured. After only 75 miles of driving, I think I have found a real compromise for my uses instead of my usually favored Superduties. I'll miss the F-350, though.
I would have loved to have a SD, and could have afforded it, but for what I use my truck for the 150 fit the bill perfectly. I absolutely love my FX4 and do not regret the purchase at all. Congrats and you'll love the truck.
