Hey guys. I bought a set of TPMS sensors off ebay for my 2009 FX4 Screw (I'm sure some of you guys have seen ebay auction I'm talking about). My concern is I've been reading a bunch of different information and can't find a straight answer regarding what frequency the 09 F-150 TPMS should be? I've seen 315 MHZ, 333 MHZ, 415 MHZ, and 433 MHZ. The ones I ordered are 433 MHZ and I just want to make sure I have the right ones. The part number for the ones I have is 9L3T-1A180-AA. From other threads it seems like this number is slightly different then the replacement part number because these sensors were take-offs and part number doesn't include the valve stem. If someone has ordered the same TPMS sensors and installed them successfully or just has more knowledge/information about the 09 F-150TPMS system I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

I could be wrong but I believe it is 315 MHz. Only reason I say that is because when you build a tire/wheels package on Tire Rack they add "315MHz Tire Pressure Sensor" to the cart.

Also, I searched for the 2009 F-150 on this site: http://www.revolutionsupply.com/TPMS/AppGuide.aspx

Some of the results have "315" in the part number - I know I should be a detective!

Pretty sure it should be 315mhz. I purchased mine from Tasca Parts. I believe they are something like $34 each, which is a kit that includes sensor and valve stem. Reset tool if you do not have it is 8C2Z-1A203-A, $21 at Tasca.

Thanks for the replies guys. Stormtech, I bought my set of the same seller that you did but I bought them back in late August. When I contacted them they told me that they had done extensive research and have discovered that both the 315 MHZ and the 433 MHZ sensors work for the 09 F-150. They said that trucks are built with the 433 MHZ sensor and that all replacement sensors (OEM or aftermarket) use 315 MHZ. So hopefully they are correct and the ones I have will also work. I am having them installed on Firday so I will let everyone know how things go.

 

Has anyone bought the reset tool from their local dealer for any cheaper than the $37 MSRP? Sure, it's $21 at Tasca + $10 shipping. I have read elsewhere that people got it for ~$18 but the handful of dealers I've called all tell me its $37.

 

I got a price of $30 CDN from my dealer up here in Canada. I would think you should be able to get it for the same, if not a couple bucks cheaper.

 

My dealer charged me $25 or $26.

Well I was at my Ford dealer today and they installed the 433 MHZ TPMS sensors and everything worked fine. Guess the ebay seller was correct, that you can use either the 433 MHZ or 315 MHZ TPMS sensors for the 2009/10 F-150.

 

All of our wheel sets for that YMM include a Lear 315mHz sensor.

We do carry the ATEQ Universal TPMS Trigger for $105 if anyone is interested.....
