6.2 L official numbers out

Hopefully this engine makes it into the F150 Lariats and such, but I dont see myself replacing my truck until the 4.4L diesel is in the F150. Or did Ford dump that engine? I've been out of the loop...

I'm willing to bet money the 411hp figure is "under rated" and the 500hp figure is with just a tune and a slightly more free flowing exhaust....

so can someone help me understand fords future engine line up... this is what I see in the future
4.6 3v (I predict this one to be dead soon)
5.4 (this will come in as the base...maybe)
3.5 (I can't decide if ford is going to play a fast one up on us and come out with v8 ecoboost or just put a nice pair of different turbos.. I would buy an ecoboost with 350-375ish HP)
6.2 (top of the line)
4.4 (probably on next reskin)
5.0 (mustang only)

West,
This was posted on another forum yesterday from a guy who seems to know what he is talking about.
"For next year... F-150 engine lineup:
3.7L V6: 270-315hp (unknown at this point how it'll be tuned)
5.0L V8: 360hp
3.5L V6TT: 425hp"
He forgot the 6.2 and the Raptor XT engine...the diesel (is to be determined I guess.)

Thanks, I must have missed that other posting. what I dont understand is how can Ford or anyone offer that many enignes for a single vehicle???..... And why would they make a 3.5L that makes ~420 and a 6.2L that does ~420, unless they change thier minds a make the 6.2L Raptor only i hate to say this but it seems to be to many options, but Ford is know for that (in a good way ).

4.6L Dead next year
5.4L Dead neat year
base engine - V6? No clue.
From everything I've read on all the various Ford forums...
- 5.0L new coyote V8 @ 350hp 350-370 tq
- 3.5L EB V6 400/400 as per the Ford hot rod at SEMA this week.
Then for Raptor and possibly, and probably for Harley and other specific F150 models:
- 6.2L V8 411/434
(Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if 6.2 somehow tied to tow pkg in some way given if you are not towing big, the EB would be perfect and why would you need the 6.2L. )
- 4.4l Diesel 340/420 Still shelved. (Here's where 6.2L comes in)
- X Factor: remember report a month ago of F150 prototypes with new scorpion diesel!!!!! Hard to believe.

Sorry, but the torque curve on the EB V6 will be much better than on the 6.2L. The peak may not be as high, but the super-flat torque curve of the TT V6 will be much better overall.

my bet
v6eb 320 hp 370tq segnificantly different then the existing..but extremely light for that much power..
5.0l 365hp 408tq
6.2l 411hp 434tq available on xlt and up only(crossed fingers)
4.4l still possible
on another site there are rumors of a 5.0l eb
and remember in 09 every pound lost was a pound increased on the payload/ tow rating.
