Leveling Kit recommendations

Well I want to get a leveling kit for my FX4, and was wondering what the best kit would be, and a good place to find one. I was looking at this one, and a friend of mine has it on his Ram.

Any advice is appreciated.

I think it really comes down on how much you want to lift the front of your truck. Basically all a leveling kit is a metal spacer. Ive used Readylift on my past vehicles and it worked out real good. I will most likely go with their 2 inch kit when the time comes.

Thanks for the links! I looked through them and I think the the TC kit would be fine. I'll also look into the AS kit.

Wow! Actually looked into prices and Readylift is not the way to go. As I said earlier all the kit consists of is a metal spacer. Looks like AS is the way to go!!

Readylift has to be the most overpriced line of leveling kits ever made. Why would someone pay tripple the price of the other kits for the same thing?

Ok well all the links I found for the AS kit do not work, anyone have the link. Also I wanted to look into the Bilstein kit. I apparently cannot search very well because I could not find that either. Anyone that has any info on that one, care to enlighten me?

Bilstein doesn't make a kit - I think they are going to come out with some adjustable shocks that will achieve the same front lift though. I haven't looked into this so I could be wrong.

If you are looking for Level (at least not nose high) get the 2" kit. On the 09's the redesined the lower control arm where the shock mounts and it is also a real bitch to get the shock mount in to pocket with the added length if the spacer with the 2-1/2". Also, my 09 FX4 sits just nose high with the 2-1/2... more noticeable with a full tank of fuel.

It is a better fit and a nicer result with the 2" kit... unless you plan to put in a rear block or add-a-leaf.

As for a kit, you cant go wrong with the AutoSpring kit for price. As for the Readylift, it is the same as all the rest in construction, but they chanrge so much for it because it has a full DOT rating... I cant justify paying close to 3 times as much for the kit for this one reason though.

Thanks DK, I think so too. Here is my trucks side profile as she sits not. As you can see, still nose high, but havent been bothered enough to set a leaf or clock... yet. But still debating on an actual lift. I think for leveling kits, the 2" is the way to go.
