hey just got my new 2010 F-150 XL. Love it. but I noticed it just has the blinker on the mirrors capped.
Is there a way I could get LED aftermarket that fit this and is the wiring still in the mirrors??(prob Not)

You could probably hack (that being the operative term) some turn signals into the front of the mirror housings. The space in front that's capped off is just for a reflector.

 

I actually was thinking more for the inside capped off spot

 

yeah, there's that spot on the inside for the turn signals.

probably would just be easier finding some like new takeoff mirrors with the turn signals from somebody and swap with yours.

 

do u think i can just buy the little leds to pop off the cap and install??

 

Do you have power mirrors? Being an XL I doubt that Ford would just throw those wires in there but ya never know. To find out for sure ya gotta pull em apart.

 

I know I highly Doubt it no biggie though I could just wire them threw up into the turn signals. I was wondering where to find the leds Ive looked everywhere with no luck

 

the LED turns might actually be available from Ford but I'm not sure if they will wire up that easily or not (inside of the mirror).

probably not many (09/10) have done it, but I recall alot of 04-08 guys just swapping out the entire mirrors in order to get the signals. Just bolt the mirrors and plug in the harness and call it a day.

 

Ah see I thought they all came with the little indicators on the mirror side of the mirror.

 

no luck with ford. seems as thought they just used the same mirror "body". if it didnt come factory do u think there even is a harness when i pull the mirror off.no power mirrors.

 

I doubt the wiring would be there at all then. Probably wouldn't take but a few minutes to yank off a mirror and check though.
