I use the slider all the time in my 03. Especially with the moonroof, it allows you to create quiet controlled airflow at highway speeds. It helps to have a bed cover so the air doesn't come into the rear window and bring anything from the bed (dirt, leaves, rocks, etc). I also use mine for buying 16' lumber, like a pass through. Push it right up to the windshield.
