Bossey, let me know the last six of your VIN and I will ask someone I know in scheduling to translate it into that Saturday's build numbers. I can then see it down our line.

Screwbuilder, do you know when I can expect to order my FX2 in USA? I live in Brownsville, Texas and the dealers have said they have no clue when we can start pre-ordering because there aren't any VIN numbers for it yet. I've been saving for 3 years to buy my truck and I want the 2010 FX2. Are they building them yet for sale in the US? Also, I'd like to purchase before the year ends so that I can take advantage of the new car incentive when it comes time to file for my tax return.

Not sure what your dealer is talking about. Pre orders would have been taken months ago. We started building them last week and some on here according to the above posts already have their VIN #.

2010 Fx2 on order

I've been following this for sometime now. I placed my order on Oct 30th, I had my VIN number by Nov 6th and today I was told that it would be built on Nov 30th. I think you need to find a new dealer who knows whats going on. My order was placed in Ottawa, Canada. Since no one can find a picture of the finished product, who ever gets their 2010 FX2 Sport first please post a picture of it for all of us who our waiting and those that are just curious. Good luck to all.

Well I think Bossy is in Canada, so do they get the truck first? I haven't seen anyone post on here that's from the USA and that has ordered an FX2? Could it be that you are in production but the trucks are Canada bound? Or are these trucks being built destined for the us in the U.S.?

Well I was thinking the same thing preluder5. I just talked to my dealer today and he said that I will get a VIN next week and then a build date. I placed my order Oct. 1st. It sucks that Ford is an American company yet Canada has first dibs. No offense Canadians. I have just been saving for this truck for a long time. I live in Texas too, so feel relieved that we are getting a response from Ford.

I just ordered my FX2 on Nov. 9. I knew there was a late availibility, but was unaware that production had just started. My dealer just said 6-8 weeks. I have a feeling that they are as unaware of the production schedule as I was. I just left a message with the dealer to find out if I can get the VIN and production date. I can't wait to, at the very least see some pics. I've just seen the front shot from the brochure. For those in the know, please keep me informed on this thread, and please post any pics ASAP.

Thanx.

Dealer didn't have a VIN or production date, yet. But stated that it is a "Clean Order". Which means that there is no forseeable production delays, or problems. Here's hoping!

Hi Screwbuilder

I know there must be a lot of rules for you on the assembly line but I have a request. Since you seem to be the closest to the finished product (2010 F-150 FX2 Sport) is there any chance that you could take a quick picture of one of the trucks in the lot were they store them before shipping? As far as I can tell you have been building this truck for the last week. How is it going? If I'm way out of line with this request I apologize, I like many others, I'm just totally frustrated that I've ordered a truck and have never really seen it. Thanks for all the updates that you have provided.

Sorry, cannot take pics let alone get into the pre shipping lots. To be honest, I have not even seen a finished FX2 but then again I am fairly far from the end of the line.

Still No Picture!

Thanks any ways, at least we know that your building them. We just have to be patient. Still do not understand why Ford does not have a picture of this truck (not the one in the F 150 brochure), The trucks are rolling off the line and no one has taken a picture yet? It's killing me as my build date comes closer, Nov. 21st. Cheers!
