Royal red or white??????
#17
2 dtr, 1 ab & 1 ws
All white on auch a large vehicle might get old pretty quick. If you did a two-tone with white and tan or something, would help to alleviate that white slab look a lot.
The royal red (Dark Toreador Red) is an awesome color, harder to keep clean but really shines when it is clean! I had two DTR F-150's because I loved the color so much. Then I went with Arizona Beige in 2004 (amazing color, shows no dirt at all) and now I have the White Sand for 2009 (very nice, but shows more dirt than my AB 2004).
I'm sick of cleaning my truck after having owned F-150's since 2006, so I go with the easiest to clean color nowadays (if the PLAT was available in AB I would have gotten it for sure, but of course it wasn't).

I've had 2 white F-150's, one Dark Shadow Grey, and now back to white -
It's all a personal preference, but a white F-150 has kind of become my signature in a way.
Last year I traded my '03 white in on an '08 Dark Shadow Grey - thought I would try something different......
Turned out I wasn't real happy with it - it looked awesome when clean, but just driving in the rain would make it look so dirty - couldn't stand it. That's one reason I like white - it can be dirty, but won't really show it - until you wash it - then it looks even better.
Go with your gut - get what you really want.
3 years from now you want to be able to look at your truck and still smile!

White can really look nice... unfortunately I've always associated white trucks with work trucks (like city, utility, company trucks, etc) so I've always steered away from white.
I've owned two Dark Torreador red (royal red for '09) F-150's and a black one, so when I started shopping for the '09 I was really leaning toward something different. I had my eye on the Brilliant Silver metallic Platinum edition... but then I saw a black one and couldn't help myself... I ended up with a black Platinum. Black is beautiful WHEN IT IS CLEAN... which typically lasts all of 10 minutes, if that... but I still love it!
Comes down to your personal preference... pick the one that in a few years you will still look at and think... "dang, that is a good looking truck".

You know I just realized there are 3 red colors. I guess I never knew that before. I always thought there was only Red assumed Royal Red and Razor Red. Mine is Bright Red Clearcoat. You learn something new every day. Either way, I still say get Red.
