Well if some of you are going to the black ones, I will buy a set of the tinted ones. I think the tinted ones look pretty good. Its easier than trying to find the tint and clear coat and finding time to do it.

Wow, look at what I have caused with the black plastic inserts! Glad I could help you out with my attention to details. Sometimes it hinders me, but it looks like in this case I may have helped a few people out.

Wish i knew they done these and it would have saved me spraying them. Wonder how tinted are they and if you see any orange through them. Still well happy with how mine come out. Not to sure that i would want them looking like the basic STX mirror refelctor blanking plates but for people that want that STX look then they are good idea. Lot easeir than painting them.

Dom said I was the first to order earlier today. They are just plain black, not reflective at all. They match the rest of the color/texture of the black part of the mirror. I'm not trying for the STX look, just want to get rid of that useless orange reflector. Now I can pull them out and not worry about them breaking or painting them.

not sure how old you guys are, but this reminds me on how we used to take off those ugly reflectors on our BMX bikes as kids back in late 80's.

Where can you get tinted ones?

I don't want the black inserts because I like the look of them tinted better.

^I'm pretty sure he means that he would buy a set of tinted ones from someone who already tinted them theirself but wants to switch to the plain black STX ones instead.

I doubt there's any aftermarket reflectors out yet. Like mentioned, even a clear reflector might look good too, a clear one would go somewhat with the chrome skull caps.

Ok, I got my black plastic STX lens from Tasca today, cost me a total of $15.66 shipped.

Took only 2 minutes to pop out the old orange reflectors and snap in the new black ones. I like the look of them, they match the rest of the black portion perfectly. Here's pics:
