Platinum Black or Silver?

I am looking to get a Platinum Edition 4x4 and I am torn between Black and Silver. I looked at them side by side at the dealership and I still can't decide. The Silver platinum looks incredibly clean and sleek, however I feel like it still looks a little bland and doesn't really pop. The black looks great too, but not sure how I feel about the tailgate piece on it since it is in such contrast, not to mention the pita of keeping a black truck clean.

Any input or opinions?

I like the black but if you don't wash your truck every week then silver wouldn't show dirt so much

Black looks great after you wash it, but if it were me, it would be silver. I will never own a black vehicle again because they are to much work to keep clean.

Black, and would it be possible to paint the tailgate piece? Just a thought.

I have never owned a black car just because of what people say about cleaning them but my bro in law bought a black expy and now i really know what they are like to keep clean. It's unreal how swirls start to appear no matter how carefull you are and the other thing that is bad new is how dam hot the things get inside when the usns out. I never felt anything like it. It must have been 130+f inside that thing the other day and took the air ages to get the inside down to temp. The black seats were like sitting on lava lol. But if your good at keeping them clean and not causeing swirl marks and you dont mind the heat issues then i would go for black. Silver just looks so 2000. It dont matter what silver it is they just look boring.

I vote for black as well. But it will take some effort keeping it looking sharp.

Personally I could never own a black vehicle. I'm just not careful enough in my washing/drying to keep defects out of the paint which seem to be magnified x1000 on black. I'm not saying I don't like black vehicles. In fact I think they look awesome when cared for properly.

Black....

I don't get swirl marks but I don't use a) the brush at a car wash, or b) any drive thru thats not touchless.

Mxracer im the same. But im **** when i clean cars/trucks and even i get swirl marks. They are easy to get rid of with a good wax or polish but they are still there no matter if you fill them or not. The up keep for black is unreal But they do look very nice when they have been wax or polished but that never lasts long lol

Same issue here...my '05 Lariat 4x4 is black with tan leather interior and I think it looks great...but it has been a pita since day 1 keeping clean...I decided on the Silver since it will look clean longer. The black Platinum IS outstanding looking though, and looks better from the front end, but I think the Silver looks better from the rear view as it blends the rear tailight chrome trim (ugh) and tailgate panel better! Either is awesome and I know that every time I see a black Platinum, I'm going to want it - but I can't take the amount of effort any more keeping such a large vehicle that is parked outside clean.
