well, just a little update:

I've enjoyed driving it so far, but haven't broken 100 miles yet though. Definately turns some heads. I also had the truck undercoated before delivery and it stunk for a few days so I couldn't park inside the garage.

As far as washing it, the grille and front end is hard to dry the water off, and also the multi-spoke rims are a kind of a pain to wash and dry.

I took off the 4x4 bed stickers, the big green Dearborn sticker inside the windshield, and the front license plate holder.

It's going in next week for tint, trying to decide on 35% or 20% for the front door windows?

I dropped off my Husky mud guards for painting, and my Bakflip cover will be delivered this week as well. I'll post some more pics when this stuff is on.

Really nice, Steve. Does it "feel" any bigger than the 04? Hope that makes sense to you. Just curious on things like body roll, stopping, etc.

I'm not Steve but I'll answer anyway...

I personally don't think it feels that much bigger than my last '04. The interior does feel a little larger for some reason.

Body roll is nill. The '09 doesn't budge on the road and is more confident than the '04. If you thought the '04-08's felt like they were are rails in the turns, get behind the wheel of an '09... whoa.

Stopping is about the same. So is going. But the stock exhaust note is hella-good on the '09.

yeah, it feels about the same as driving my 04, although it does seem to ride smoother and absorb the bumps better.

I think it is an inch or two wider than the old truck, I can tell the difference when reaching across to wash/dry the hood, windshield, or roof.

Did you have any issues removing the stickers?

^no issues taking the sticker off. I used a heat gun on low setting to warm up the sticker, and it peeled right off without leaving any residue.

I think the key is to take them off when the truck is new. I look them off my 04 FX4 as well, but after I owned the truck for almost 2 years, and it left a decent amount of sticker residue that I used goo gone and bug and tar remover to get off.

Steve i went for the 35% onyx tint and it's a good tint. Pretty close to the rear but not so much that it looks illegal.

This is with the 35%

^thanks, it looks good. I also had 35% on my old 04 Screw, and will probably go with the same again. The darker 20% looks good, and I know people that have it dark, but technically that's illegal around here and I don't won't to get hassled by the cops.

All front window tinting is illegal here. I went with 20% on the front to match the factory.

Nice, let us know when you have some pics with the mud guards on!

And go buy a little 3-step stepladder. That's what I did when I bought my '04, no way I could reach the middle top portion of my hood, never mind roof. And the '09 hoods look even harder to reach.

I have found with the darker tint it is much harder to see at night...I'll probably end up going with a lighter tint this time around...I hate not being able to see out of the windows at night!!
