nothing really new mentioned that we didn't already know except now they are saying it won't be out until the 2011 model? I thought before they said 2010 or 2010.5?

Also, we don't know yet if this EB motor will be available in all the F150 models? Like the FX4 and Lariat, which the only choice now is the 5.4V8.

I wouldn't imagine that the 3.5V6 ecoboost engine will be the top of the line engine in terms of power. I would bet it's more designed to take the place of the 4.6L.

"EcoBoost-powered F-150s will arrive in showrooms in 2010 for the 2011 model year."

I already realize/read that!!!!

like typical car manufacturers, 2011 "models" will come out in Fall 2010.

but it was said before it might be out for the 2010 or 2010.5 "model", meaning that it could be out in Fall 2009 or Spring 2010. That's what I was hoping for!

Smile Finally, no more wondering what to do.

Damn. Another nail in the coffin of this refresh. By the time the one big reason to buy the refresh comes out (better mpg w/EcoBoost), the refresh will be 2+ years old. Heh. That's crazy. Makes it a lot easier to wait for the remodel. I was very tempted to buy a 2010 because of the mpg savings. But by 2011MY it'll be easier and more exciting to just wait for the remodel. I've been debating like mad with myself almost daily whether to buy a '10 or not, now my decision has been made for me by Ford. My money shall remain with me. That sure clears my mind for the forseeable future.

Thanks for the link, Power Kid!

Kinda agree. I need a new tempting engine offering to make me spend the $$$ on a new truck. Ford keeps say'n, just wait. its coming. Well its sure drag'in out. 2 years away for the EB and I doubt I even want one at this point. Mayeb I can buy the front seats from an 09 and slap them in my 04 and be happy. Some gusy say the new 5.0L is coming but WHEN? 3 years?

Nice. I also got the 7 year extended warranty on my 2004. Won't run out until March 2010. I also have in writing that if I do not use the warranty I can get my 2k back that I paid for it. So far haven't used it!

If you want engine power so bad then why dont you just "spend the money" on a roushcharger? put it on your 04 or on a new 09. Should make you quite happy.

Otherwise either wait for the 6.2 raptor.

I 've had this 04 for over 5 years now. My plan all along since the first rumor of the hurricane, then boss was to wait for the 6.2L which (based on rumors 5 years ago) would be out by now. But they keep stalling and I keep waiting. Thats my point.

Motor Trend probably forgot the significantly more part....

'The V6 with EcoBoost is slated for the Ford F-150 in 2010, and the pickup application will produce "significantly more" than 340 hp and 340 lb-ft-torque, said Brett Hinds, Ford's advanced engine design manager.'

Blue Oval is talking about the same article. Additionally, they are saying it will be in a few vehicles in 2009, not 2010. I'm assuming this includes the F-150. Check it out.
