Keep it Boataddict. It's a safer truck, and you won't lose your legs and feet in a crash.

It's kinda cool seeing the direct comparison between your model and the 09 identically optioned. Kinda shows you how much theyve changed in looks.

Honestly, I would rather have mushed legs and have my kids safe in the back seat. They are my only real concern.

Your kids aren't safe in your 06?

How safe are your kids going to be when you have no feet to control the throttle and brakes?

You possibly won't lose your foot but you'll possibly lose your torso and possibly your head. No foot is better than dead. (Rear crash protection and side crash protection is poor on the 08.) I would rather have an 09 with ESC, WHICH CAN AVOID CRASHES by helping drivers maintain control when an 08 otherwise might spin out.

Lol thats my wife for ya. She's a super sensible. But i do see where she is coming from. When ever i see a lifted truck around here (virginia) the people who get out of them are about as redneck as you could ever find. See them all the time in our local lowes. They are normally a piece of crap 10 year old smashed up toyota or chevy but it's just funny when you see the way they are dressed and the way they sound lol. I'm from england so it looks even stranger for me lol. Never met a normal person with a lifted truck but I'm sure there are some.

Just the other day i was at my mother in laws tanning saloon and this guy was ******ed off because someone had put a security post across a space he always parks in. Well one thing lead to another and he came back with this stupid looking lifted chevy. He tied a chain from the post to his truck and tried to pull the post out the ground. Just one of them small 3" dia removable posts. Well he pulled away really quick. Well you can guess what happened. His truck went down the road and he thought he had pulled the post out. He got out and see his bumper sitting on the floor 100ft back connected to the chain still lol. These are the kind of people that drive lifted trucks around this area.
