Your truck is nice looking. I like what the 09 offers but I would work for the 2010 or 11.

Wait for 2010 at the earliest. New engine lineup. It's also been mentioned here by many that not a lot has changed, and except for a bunch of creature comforts that's pretty accurate. Wait and see. I think anyone who buys an '09 without recourse to trade up the following year will be very dissapointed they didn't wait for the new engines at the very least.

I agree with you on waiting for the new engines coming out, but I think it's inaccurate (I know you like bold) to keep harping on nothing being changed.

Edit:
95% of the truck is new: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...sh-debate.html

You can keep waiting and waiting and waiting. If i didnt get the 09 and waited for the 2010 i would have people telling me to wait for the 2011 as the engines are unproven and then i would wait till 2012 and i would have people telling me to wait as they have a new engine coming and a all electric version. There's always gonna be a better model the next year. I would rather have the truck for the full 4 years before it's updated to a new model because i know i will want the new refreshed model 4 years down the line. I dont wanna own a truck and it be outdated by a completely new model 3-2-1 years into it's life. I can deal with new engines as it's not cosmetic. It's upto you to decide if you really like the 2009 as much as your current truck. If you do then it's worth an upgrade. Im sure you will though.

The 09 they ordered in for me came in today. I will take it for a while tomorrow and then decide.
Hopefully the rates and discounts are good for December.

Hey Boat.. I say keep the 06 and just mod it out.. you'd be spending a lot more on buying an entirely new truck, when the one ya have is already really nice.. I used to have the exact same truck as you.. but $6500 later, and look at it now..? I think the question you should be asking yourself is.. would you rather..

buy this..?

or upgrade to this?

Def have the 09 over the modded 08. Without a doubt. But then again i think lifted trucks look awful so not a good comparison for me.

Yeah thats harsh calling your truck awful zeruin...one of my top 5 on the site

I think you should keep the 06, It will be a long time before these 04-08 trucks will look outdated because they are so far ahead of the times on looks. Unless you are going to get a sceaming deal on the 09, I'd defintetely keep the 06

Nah it dont look awful the truck it's self. Just the lift kits make it look awful. If it was normal ride hight i would like it more.

Zeruin,
That is one of the nicest looking lifted trucks I have seen. Well done.
Unfortunatly because of my job and the fact that I use my truck for work, I cannot lift it. It has to stay at stock height to get into underground parking for work.
I am still undecided but will know what I am doing by next weekend.
