I would be SHOCKED if you get a Platinum that soon. The Platinums are being built at DTP and they are not back to work until next week. It will take at least 4-8 weeks to get the OK to ship. We are in our 5th week of production and still do not have the OK to ship. I hate to say it but don't be surprised if that date is off, way off.

Same date as mine but like you say they may move the date back. Dealer has on his system though that it's a 20th oct date that it will trun up to them. Hope this is correct. it's been a long wait as it is let alone another month or 2 more.

Just curious, did you see the date or is this a date the dealer gave you. What doesn't make sense is that when DTP starts building they will build maybe 10,20 or so units per day at first and slowly build up to full production (480 per day). Like I said they have built zero as of today. I don't see that they even have a definite build date let alone the exact date that it will be at the dealer. When we started our builds we had a lot of bugs to work out. There were many days where we came in sat around for hours then built 20 trucks and were sent home while they worked out the problems. Even now we have little build problems that are still being solved and not at full production. Seems strange that the dealer threw a date at you let alone an "official delivery date".

Yeah his system showed the date to expect the truck and it's status had changed as well. Perhas the early orders may get them by the 20th as it is a month away still. Sounds like you have a quite a few built at the kansas plant and you only been open a few weeks so hopefully the same goes for DB plant. Let us know though when you start seeing the one at your plant start leaveing for del to dealers.

The wife took me to Detroit on father's day weekend to see the dtp.At that time they were producing 10 a day. They had probably 100 or so sitting inside in a staging area.

Today I spoke to the Regional Sales Manager and asked point blank when we could expect to see them arrive at the dealers. She stated that we wouldn't begin to see the trucks on dealer lots until first week of December. Wanted to give dealers more time to clear out existing inventory and wouldn't start shipping until Thanksgiving week.

The fleet manager even stated that the preorders that are in the books won't arrive until then either.

Cant see that my self. If you ask your dealer to check on their system it will show you that dates are now confirmed and not just speculation. I have also seen a few news interviews from ford in the last week saying the exact same thing. The date of 20th Oct has also been given to a lot of other people this last week so it looks like it's not just a rumor. I have even heard news that they could even possibly send them out earler than expected as well. Unsure to how true that is though.

Those might have been the prebuilds before they sent them home for 3 months. We started our prebuilds back in April or so. They will start production next Monday.

Those were either the end of our MP1 build or the short MP2 build. We started our prebuilds in January.

I figured they were your MP2 build but figured there would be tons of questions.
