How so? If Ford doesn't offer what I want, then I'll go to whoever does. I won't stay with something because it makes someone else happy.

I was under the impression that the nomenclature for the new ford 6spd auto was ZF6. I may be on crack.

If that's what you are referring to, cool. A 6 speed auto is long overdue. I saw "ZF6" and assumed stick, I believe that's been in the Super Dutys for a while now.

2009 SPecs

There are few links floating around here tot he "official" specs, however from my reading I have seen that the three powerplants are:
4.6L 2V V8 w/ 4spd auto
4.6L 3V V8 w/ 6spd auto
5.4l 3V V8 w/ 6spd auto

I am still not considering buying another truck any time soon. I don't know if I will buy a full size truck again. The smaller trucks being offered by the competition are quite capable of meeting my needs. The Mrs. and I are definitely DIYers. Landscaping, carpentry, flooring, cabinetry, we do it all and the truck has been great. Camping, boating, I can't imagine life with out her, and I am referring to the truck HAR HAR HAR!!!
The Mrs. is actually awesome too.

I will definitely wait a few years. I am wondering if the 3V 4.6L to be offered in the 09's is the same as what was in the aviators?

Wasn't the Aviator a 4 valve DOHC?

So I'm getting ready to switch to the F150 in 09 coming from an 04 Sport Trac. Right now I have a 4.10 non limited slip and get about 15 or 16 mpg. In the 150, I'm switching to a limited slip, but am not sure about getting a 3.55 or 3.73. What is the real world difference in MPG between the too?

Thanks.

probably depends on your average speed if it is all freeway driving a taller ratio is like a taller overdrive(lower the number the taller the gears) taller the gear the lower the rpms of the engine.

and my axle is a ls.
