EVERY single time the body changes, there are people who start talking smack about the new body style and how Ford made a huge mistake with the styling. This is a Ford message board and most of the people here like Ford trucks. It just seems like too many people are quick to jump on the "I hate it" bandwagon.
Couldn't have said it better

It's hilarious how similar everyone's comments are from then and now. I noticed they were even talking about a diesel then too.

PS, with a "come back" as poor as that one, you might as well just admit you lost in plain English...you're not fooling anyone but yourself

Thumbs up

Personally, I LOVE the new F150. I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I just don't see how anyone could not like the interior of this truck. Maybe it is just me, but the more gadgets the better. I mean, why do we mod our trucks anyways...more gadgets. Ford has really raised the bar on this truck and I think it's only the beginning. Wait until the new engines are released in 2010 and I will be surprised if the 2009 engines aren't 380hp+. Ford always seems to be the company sticking their necks out to try something new. They put their best at bat first and let everyone else scramble to match them. The haters can continue to hate for whatever inspires them to hate. Whether it be jealousy, regret, or just pure dislike. If you truley love ford, like many of us here, you put your trust in their hands, knowing that these are the people who created everything you have known to love with Ford and be confident that they will make the best choices for us. And for the crybabies, well...no one is making you drive a ford, if something else makes you happy, why are you here? Probably because nothing will make you happy.

I owned and liked the previous style F-150's, as well as the new style. Only thing with the 2009’s new style is that it looks more like a Silverado from the front, yuck. But I have to say though; the rest of the truck looks pretty nice with some excellent Tech Toys. Sync and the location of the backup camera is pretty trick.

Yeah the illusive ½ ton diesel engine continues to be a pipe dream…

Oh I think it looks outstanding! Great truck IMO, I just hope it has some power improvements.

Again, I don't see the comparison:

Very good post freeky, honest. My problem is the way some here keep crapping on those of us that don't like this new truck. I'm not calling anybody names for liking it, my first impression is that it just is an ugly design. That being said (again I know) when the '09's hit the dealers I will drive one and see how I feel then. I just may end up trading my '04 for an '09 who knows.

I think it is reasonable to resist change, especially when you are financially vested in the previous model. I am in the same boat. Hell, mine's an 07, but I can promise this, I will drive this truck and see where I stand. I just would think that all Ford guys would at least give it a chance as the designers have obviously created something that suited you before. I guess my point is, just give it a chance, before starting threads saying "I hate blah blah...". It's hilarious how many people will claim hate to it now, but own one in a year. I respect the ones who say stuff like, I don't really like the design because________, but for someone to claim that Ford screwed this truck up because a few people don't prefer the design is rediculous.

i drive a 2004 and i think this new truck is very promising.

I Like:
-6 speed tranny
-spacious interior compared to mine
-locking rear differential
-tailgate step
-hopefully more powerful engines

I dont like:
-some of the grilles
-headlights
-the wheel offerings
-dash buttons look like a rocket ship

would i get a new one if i could afford to? hell yes.

...the sad thing is you actually think you're being clever

I love people like you, well, I guess "appreciate" is the better term. Without people like you in this world, I would be considered just average...so, thanks for making me a step above the rest

The last 2 post are quite amusing. Would the Zetek kit fit the f150?
