Actually, you are the one mistaken. The F-150 and the Expeditions are built on the same frame. It was the Excursion that shared the same frame with the Super Duty F-250. The Explorer and the Ranger used to share the same frame, however, that is no longer the case.

 

The F-150 is actually built on the Millennium Falcon's frame, a well known fact.

It's more like the Expedition is built on the F150 frame and the Explorer is sitting on the Ranger frame.

Looks like the new Expedition, same three bar grill and headlight assembly. Plus, were is the bigger V8 with the 6 speed tranny. My opinion only, but it looks like Ford was in a big rush to release this new 150 to just to keep up with the "Jones", but they didn't have to.

 

I like the looks of the interior especially with the dark wood grain and brushed aluminum. Although it seems like an aftermarket HU is out of the question. Not a fan of the Decals though - don't really like decals in general anyway. Also that rear wing/spoiler looks pretty queer.

Current Expedition is built on the T1 Frame, which is based on the P2 Frame used by the current F150 (04' - 08').

The 09' F150 will use the P415 Frame.

 

I wasn't meaning the exact diminsions was the same. It is the same thing as the Bronco II and Ranger. Essentially the same but the B2 was shorter and some other not so easy to see differences. But once you see how the front end of the expedition will look, that is what the 150 will always look like. Unless ford gets a wild hair and goes somewhere differnent suddenly, but that is doubtful.

And gators241987 is a good example that alcohol and drugs taken together are never a good thing.

In this Case the new F150 came out Before the Expedition. I imagine they'll redesign the Expedition Next year and build it on the New platform the 2009 truck is....

Someone had argued before that the 2009 150 would look just like the current Expy which came out in 2003.

Boy were they wrong!..
