The front end of this truck looks like what the present
model should have evolved FROM, not into!! It's bland,
it's unbalanced, and it's bloated and it gives the truck
the character of a checker cab.

Put a picture of this front end next to an 08 FX2 front end
and tell me which one is more attractive.

The interior is of course the best in the biz.....was before though....

I'm selling my 06 Lariat SCREW next week and I will be purchasing
a Tundra.......and it is ENTIRELY because of the LOOKS of the new F150!
So, let's see here. You've been a member since July 2004, after all this time you have managed to contribute to F150online a grand total of 7 TIMES! You obviously have no desire to be a part of this community, so why even bother telling us this? Just sell your F150 and be done with it, we will TRY to miss you!

I understand your frustration with the front end of the '09 F-150 and I agree with you that I wouldn't want to run out and buy one, but to place the overall ridiculous styling of the Tundra over that of the Ford is, in my opinion, merely regressing further into design madness.
Anything with a Toyota badge is gonna be a top quality vehicle, and to buy one for that reason makes sense if one is willing to pick up a higher tab, but frankly, exterior design has been wanting at Toyota for years now.
...........after all, they brought you the Scion.

LOL! Don't they also make the one that looks like a square box with wheels? Or is that the Honda Element? Or are they basically the same horrid thing anyways?

Looks like an Expedition from the front. Doesn't even try to distinguish itself from the SUV. If there is one thing I like about a truck is that it looks like a truck from the front, as well as the side.

wait a minute......someone is buying a tundra because the new f150 is ugly? common i agree the new f150 isnt the best looking but it still looks better then the tundra!! and sence when is a good truck based on looks? even if the tundra did look better it still has a weak frame, tailgate, steering knuckles and so forth. in other words good luck with your new POS

Exactly. If you like the current one, 99.99% of you will like the new one.

SO true. I've been baffled since the unveiling, with some owners of the '04-'08 model saying they hate the refresh. It's not a huge radical change, in fact the basic design is very similiar to what we have now. How can you hate it when it's almost the same, just a beefed hood, couple wheel well arches, and some creases in the tailgate? Otherwise it's almost the same as we have now, with some added doo-hickey's like power running boards and lip on tailgate. The interior is what's changed the most, dash anyways, and it's better so... just don't get how you can love the '04-'08 and not the refreshed '09. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had extra cash lying around taking up space in my wallet. Ah well, to each his own.

Think I'll use this oft ignored bandito smilie. Not sure what he is supposed to represent.

If any of the moderators read this post, how come the smilies are never updated? We've had the same ones for years now. Just a thought for this great forum.

the first time a saw a pic of the new style f150, i hated it. i felt like it was following too close in the f250's footsteps with the huge grill. but, i must say the more i see it in differnet pictures the more im begining to like it. im sure once i start to see them driving around here in south florida i will like the new style more and more. i do think the 04-08 f150 is probably one the best looking trucks of all time,so thats why its so difficult for all of us to like the "new one".... its like putting on a new pair of jeans for the first time.. they never fit as good as your old worn out ones.. but over time by wearing them and giving them a chance they will break in and become your "NEW" favorite pair of jeans....

Is this an April fools joke? Why would you own 5 fords and then just go to less of a truck entirely because of looks. He obviously doesn't use it as a truck and he must not yet seen the interior of the new Turdras. The interior is as ugly as you can get and that is where you spend the most time. I would get a denali before I would ever consider a tundra. At least the gmc has truck qualities. He buys a truck every 2-3years, why not an 08 f-150 or 250?
