Settle down guys. Based on the look of the truck with the camo installed I agree with all of you. But, I recently had the opportunity to see some 100% completed production trucks and clay models (painted w/ trim) of the new F-150 and trust me... it looks good. A lot has changed, but there's not an enormous difference in overall styling. You can still tell it's an F-150 without looking at the Ford oval. If you like the look of the current truck, you're going to like the new truck just as much, maybe more. The real improvements are in places other than the appearance... stay tuned! Good stuff is on it's way.

i made one with an expy front end a LONG time ago, page through future models forum. It looked good, but numerous times the dearborn derek post has been brought up, claiming the expy front end will not be on it. Plus a spy shot with the covering slipping off the headlight proves it to be different headlights also.

Headlights, grille, bumper, fenders, hood, etc. are all different. TAKE IT TO THE BANK!

If any of them are the same, I will buy one for everyone who posted in this thread so far.

Sorry to break it to you guys, but that red and black expy is a Funkmaster Flex custom.

See for yourself.
I highly doubt Ford would base their design off a rappers idea.

He's a Dj and producer not rapper.also well known muscle car enthusiast.I'm ok with the factory two tone, just don't want to see 20 more of them in the parking lot when I go to dinner.

That's what the aftermarket is for.

And Funkmaster Flex is a DJ and a producer, but it ain't for country music.

is it safe to say that the new F-150 will blow the current competition away?

Another couple of months, and then we can all see what it looks like, inside and out. Let's hope Ford talks at the same time, giving us the straight scoop on the engine issues and everything else this truck will have as options. I still don't understand the staggered engine rollout rumors and why Ford would do such a thing. But why worry now, just wait until January's show.

If much of the body design remains the same, let's hope they ironed out all the squeeks and rattles of the '04-'08 model. Certainly very tired of them, want a quiet truck again like my '97 and '98 F-150's - those were beautifully quiet and maintenance free vehicles 7 years running. Time to get back to that quality again.

One simple reason, to keep the competition guessing. If Ford released all the engines in the first year all the cards would be on the table. This way they can release engines, probably one per year, to stay ahead of the competition.

Who knows, maybe to compete with GM, Ford will make satellite radio standard in all models too.
