Check out those new wheels (dual spokes in a eight–spoke pattern).

Is it 7 or 8 spokes? I know the article says 7, but looking at the photo and trying to count them, it appears there are 8, unless the photo is just deceiving. I can't seem to get the other two shots to enlarge, perhaps you can see them better in one of those. Let's just hope this model is as quiet inside as the '97-'03 model, and not incredibly squeeky and full of rattles as the '04-'08 model.

theyre 8 spoke wheels, with each spoke having two bars.

but DAMN VERY NICE ON THAT FIRST PIC

the other one our scab bed looks enormous, but i think its just the padding, and wondering if thats the way the suspension is gonna stay cuz it looks so jacked up in the scab pic too.

looks like my concept drawing wil be pretty close, just maybe my headlights were higher than what they really will be.
and im gonna think this is some kind of fx4 theyre testing with that plastic grill, i think the xlt will have it in chrome.

i'm liking

so it looks like our mirrors get a little bit of an update.

Maybe I'm wrong here.....but I dont know if I buy the grill in the pic is actually what is going to be used. It looks like it sticks out way too far from the headlights. Just doesn't flow ....could it have been thrown in front of the real grill to throw every one off ?

I hope not. The new style is way more quieter than the old style due to the increased technology and quality of parts used. Mine has a very quiet smooth ride.

Maybe, but you have to remember they place foam blocks under the camo to throw us off

Some of the concept drawings that have been thrown around are merely the current F-150 with a different grille and headlight. That's not much of a concept if you ask me. Hearing from the people who have seen it without the camo they say the body panels have changed and it looks more like the Super Duty.

like i said, come up with something better of your own, then ill respect you. my 2 concepts could be close, but we wont know until the real body is released.

i made those concepts based off the thought that ford wouldnt need a whole body redesign, considering its great already, just a new nose.

Anyone who takes the time to do up concepts on their own gets points in my book. Can't get much more loyal to the 150 than to spend your time doing that. Who cares whether it's close or not to the final design, it's fun to see all the ideas out there and just plain exciting to imagine what's coming.

As for my previous comment, my '04 has been riddled with squeeks and rattles since about a year after I bought it, with more seeming to grow as the years go by.

My 1997 and 1998 150's were absolutely quiet, never a sound or a problem out of either of them. This '04 has had too many issues to count. So maybe your exp. has been better with this current model and that is great for you, but having special ordered 3 F-150's in my life, I can tell you from just my personal experience that my '97 & '98 were MUCH quieter vehicles and had zero problems. Never so much as a peep out of either of them.

Sometimes I think about wearing my airplane noise-deadening headphones while driving my '04...

2009 can't come fast enough for me. Unlike when I traded in my other trucks and was sad to see them go even though I was trading up for a newer special ordered 150, I will be ecstatic to get rid of my '04 noise maker. 2009 F-150, where are you?!

Any ideas what that round cutout in the camo is on the test truck on the roof over the passenger side? It reminds me of one of those Sirius sat radio antenna's you see on the Chevy trucks, but more flat. Maybe just some kind of test equipment?
