2004 F150 Wish List

Here is my list of what I want in the 04 F150.

Navigator (brushed nickel) style dash and guages

Climate controlled seats (like in Eddie Bauer Explorer and Nav)

TONS on Noise dampening insulation (more than 03's even) Make this baby solid and silent ! Floor and doors need this big time.

Steering wheel controls for audio, climate and navigation

Navigation system, with a biger screen than 03 I'd really like to see the ICES system. That would be great - What ever happened to that one?

Homelink

Bluetooth integrated cell phone / pda system

Center console with shifter. Like to have 12 volts inside console storage and 110v in there too.

White interior lighting system (like 03 Nav) this is very cool

285/70/17 BFG ATKO"S

v6 turbo diesel

Chrome nerf bars

You realise that if those features were added to our trucks #1 we'd be shellin out 50 large, and 2 they will distract us.

Who needs to hook up theri PDA to their truck? Gonna change the air to fuel ratio while driving down the road?

All I want is a little luxury

Yes I know that nice things cost money. That is why I and a lot of people on this board work hard.

All I'm asking for is a truck that is nicer inside than the one Union Pacific or the State of Texas buys for fleet duty. Other than leather there is no damn difference. What a bust.

Why can't I have a nicer dash and a little cush and a few gadgets for the all the coin I put out?

You can still have the base model just give me an option so I do not have to buy a GMC Sierra C3.

I'd rather drive a 40k pickup than a 40k SUV but there a few lux options that are 4x4's and real pickups (Blackwood). King Ranch is nice but it's just a cool set of seats, Gimmie more than that please.

If FMC builds a 45k lux pickup sign me up !

4.10 gears, 300 plus hp 5.4L on 87 octane, 5 speed auto, sunroof still an option with rear entertainment system, dealer-option remote start, bigger fuel tank, automatic load-leveling air bags, mach 460 stereo system with cassette.cd optional again.

Mach 460? Man, Mach 1000 in that sucker! That thing is badass on the '03 Mustangs!

Does anyone have bluetooth networking as an option? My main gripe with the cell phone in the truck is all the wiring. I'd love to be able to just have the truck and phone talk to each other so that when the phone rings, it auto answers, the truck mutes the radio, and then acts like a speaker phone.

Yes, I dislike distracted drivers, but this would keep some drivers from scrambling for the headset while driving.

I would really like a 2004 Supercrew with the 7700 payload option as I am on the GCWR bubble now with my trailer and 2001 crew. I also need the back seat room. Plus my 2001 fits in my garage and a 250 wouldn't.

I have never had this option hooked up, but I know that both of my Pioneer decks support cellular mute capabilities. When a phone is hooked up, it will automatically mute the stereo. Just something to check out...

I heard and read that they'd be out spring of '03, and sell as an '04 model. The '03 model was supposed to be a short build like the '96 model.

Has this changed, or are you guessing ?

Dealer said it would be out next Sept. This seems correct as the last I read the JOb 1 Start date is June 1/03.

basic stuff

Heated mirrors, heated rear window, "hidden" aerial, projector head lamps, foglights on 4x2 option, more steel in bumpers, indash cd/cassette players (yes, I still use tapes) lower bed height................I'm still thinking. and the above has held me back from replacing my '97

AND where's the 4L diesel turbo with low noise and emisions
