Just picked up an 08 F150 FX4, but the external temperature gauge reading in C, not F

Its reading in Celsius, not Fahrenheit for the outside temperature. It appears on the small odometer message display in the dash. My truck just has the mini message center.

The owners manual says to hold some HVAC buttons to change it, but my truck has the manual climate dials. How do I change temp display to Fahrenheit? Thank you

You're looking in the wrong section of the owner's manual... See the section for the mini message center.

Sadly it does not say where to switch from C to F on the external temp display.

Thanks but those directions are for the regular message center with the three console buttons, which my truck does not have. I just have the mini message center and no buttons. I found in the manual it says I have to see a Ford dealer to have it fixed smh.

Is it possible you might be able to do that with Forscan?

yea, from what I read FORSCAN is the only option besides going to the dealer. How exactly does that work, I need to buy my own OBDII scanner, and then install the software? Not too familiar with it. Thanks man

What are you working on, Mike? Please be more descriptive.

Are you trying to use Forscan? Do you have a compatible OBD2 adapter? You may need the Windows version to do what you need.
