intake manifold coolant crossover leak
intake manifold coolant crossover leak
I'm wondering if there is any risk of damage by driving with a seeping, slow leak at the coolant crossover (below thermostat housing) provided that coolant levels are closely monitored and maintained?
Note: I'd prefer to wait for summer to fix, but not at risk of any collateral damage. Truck runs perfectly, no misfires and at proper temps (edge monitor), and oil and coolant look / smell proper. I know I run risk of coolant dripping into plug wells (which may develop misfires), but can't think of anything else. Appreciate any feedback people may have.

Keep an eye on coolant & plug wells, any that finds it's way into the valley has an escape route out the back of the block. You could even blow out the plug wells occasionally.
My 08 did that in 2017 with maybe 175,000 miles on it, except I had no idea there was a leak until the truck started bucking & skipping right after I floored the accelerator. Like the previous commentator said, no telling how long it had been leaking before it reached that point.
