I have a 04 f150 5.4 3 valve that went bad. I would like to put my 04 5.4 2 valve in place of the 3 valve. Is this possible? ???

Probably have to have a new wiring harness made up for it. Don't know how it would work with your transmission.

Anything is possible if you have enough money and/or the right set of skills. That being said, making the conversion you are contemplating is not a "plug and play" proposition and would likely cost far more than simply buying a used or remanufactured 5.4 3-valve and dropping it into your truck.

As the others stated, it is not recommended.

Just get another 3v 5.4l long block, buy some new parts (alternator, ps pump, etc), and maybe even throw a couple aftermarket parts on... then do a core return on your old block and call it a day.

You'll find yourself in a lot less frustration.

Yes as others have stated way too much time & money to do that. Stick to a good 5.4 3v long block.

why waste the time and effort with a different engine. Put another 3v in its place that will bolt right up. Would also be a great time to upgrade components when its not in the truck.
