New magnaflow high flow cats = exhaust leaks!

So I managed to bung up my original cats, and had to rip them out and graft in some fresh Magnaflow direct fit high flow cats.. All is well with one very, VERY annoying exception...

The drivers side has a notable exhaust leak, and they didn't flare the pipe where it meets the OEM exhaust for a slip fit, they butt up and the coupler just sort of covers the joint, yeah like that won't leak!

Now I'm no exhaust guru, but when I took the cats off, there was no, and I repeat NO exhaust flange gasket. There is a sort of compression fit arrangement that I assume is supposed to pressure fit and seal, but it does NOT seal...

Can anyone recommend a good way to get this dumb setup sealed? I really don't want carbon monoxide poisoning from driving to work...

A ball flange swap would probably be best, but is better left in the hands of an exhaust shop, which returns you to your issue. Ball flange with gaskets is where it's at for exhausts though!
