Blue LED or Blue HID

I want to change out my Fog light bulbs to blue, for cosmetic purposes only because I never use my fog lights, regardless of conditions so I will not be driving around town with these on.

My question is, which will provide the more prominent blue color? LED or HID? Also, any particular brand or type recommendation would be great (2004 fx4)

Thanks!

If its for cosmetic purposes ONLY then go LED. They will have less Lumens than an HID bulb so not as hard on the eyes for the people coming at you.
Sorry I don't know of reputable place to get LEDs.

As lariat said, go LED for this application. I can't speak to any reputable vendors or bulbs because I would never personally do this. Since it is for looks only though, I would check out amazon or ebay and look at some reviews and find something cheap.

I use them too for other applications, but I looked before I posted and couldn't find where they had LEDs that would fit the F150 fogs. Let alone blue LEDs for the fogs.

Can't imagine why you'd want to take a potential light source and and make it useless by changing it to blue. Paul Walker is dead dude, let the pretty lights go!

I do agree with the others, though, if you feel you have to change it to match your purse and high heels, then use LED's. At least then it won't likely be intense enough to blind oncoming drivers like Xenons will.
