2nd plug change on 5.4 3v Questions

So I am sitting at 101200 or so. Plugs and COPS have all been changed. Plugs were done at 58k and I want to do them again. The dealer broke 5 the first time. Am I ok now since they have been done? I wouldn't want to do it and start having these bastards break.

As long as they did it with nickle anti seize. MY bud and I pulled 2009 replacement plugs out out his 2004 and didn't break one. We were pissed when we discovered it was already done and that we didn't break any originals

The replacement plug has also been updated since the engine was built.

Should be. I don't think you should have anything to worry about. Maybe rent a lisle for a day just for peace at mind. I don't know the cylinder numbers but the only screech sounding one we pulled was on the drivers side, second one towards the front end.

Long term bump. I finally changed the Second set of plugs on my 2004 (Currently 132,000 Miles) and also the original plugs in 2007 Mustang GT (Currently 76,000). Patman gave me some confidence in removing with an impact on a warm/hot engine. All 16 zipped right out. Mustang change was unbelievable fast since access is so darn good. Coils and plugs out in 5 minutes LOL!

I was quoted $1,000 if non broke on either vehicle. I don't have anyone work on my stuff anymore at this point, so I couldn't pay that when I felt my skills are capable of handling this.

Unfortunately I could not change the rear ones in the truck with my impact and they were TIGHT. I took my time working them back and forth. Such a relief.

I got awhile yet to go on the '07 truck 5.4's plugs as I just did them in '19 about 5,xxx ago, but the '08 GT's 4.6's plugs might get changed this summer at near 35,xxx.

So you're saying thanks then? Or just pointing out that I gave you confidence? 🤣

I think the sooner you get the Mustangs out, the better. Then it's piece of mind 😊
