Spark Plugs Changed

I had my cousin change my spark plugs out at 87k, 6 broke with the impact gun and the other 2 where broken by hand. The lisle tool is easy to use and works great, I used Motorcraft plugs. Plugs come out better with the impact gun. Took about 5 hours. Truck runs like the day I bought it new. I will be selling the lisle tool and otc socket 9/16.

I have the Lisle tool. Is the plug socket for these trucks a special size?

9/16 is the size for the 5.4 3V, more smaller then the 5/8 socket.

OK, guys. I need some help. I have an 04 F-150 Lariat that has 51,000 miles. I've never changed the plugs, but would like to now. What is the Lisle tool and how does it work? What exactly happens when a plug breaks and how do you deal with it?
Thanks!

Your best bet is to use the Search button above. Go to advanced search and use the key word Lisle. Also, use spark plugs in a search. You will find lots to read. One thing you should find is that guys using electric or air tools have a high rate of success.

Watch videos on youtube, 5.4 3v spark plug change, so you can see how to remove a broken plug. Lisle tool is used when the plug brakes. Use air tools. Good luck.

You will get a few different opinions, but that is my choice. Just fewer problems with the Motorcraft and you are good to go another 75,000 to 100,000 miles.

Can't beat Motorcraft plugs really, they're designed for the engine and quality is top notch.

We have them for $10.54 each, that's almost 50% of retail.

I've used the Autolite plugs before when my local parts store was out of stock on the Motorcraft and they worked fine. But Motorcraft is preferred. Champion makes a one-piece to eliminate broken plugs, but the ceramic insulators fail frequently so I avoid them completely.
