Many go with Moog UCAs (with grease fitting). Most would say replace any suspension parts together [both sides] unless you can't afford it.

Here's a good demo of why...

They already said it... Moog problem solvers are the way to go. What imbecile would intentionally design metal to metal contact parts with no means of replacing lubricants that get expended? Get joints that have the zerk fittings on there...
If you are going to the expense and effort to do uppers, you really should do lowers as well... Might want to take a look at the tie rod ends too.

Thanks, Manual! Ball joints have traditionally been lubricate-able, right? It is indeed quite stupid to have them be sealed and fail prematurely
What are the official name/part # of the tierod ends? I was looking for those the other day. I think I'm gonna replace UCAs, LCAs and tierod ends whenever I have my front end torn apart for the lift, just to save PITA later

I've worked on a lot of older vehicles and even older cars had lube joints.
Heck, my '02 Kubota has more Zerks than I sometimes feel like lubing... even on the simplest items like the speed control pedal.
I like using Pennzoil Wheel Bearing 707L Red Grease for a lot of stuff. I got a nice Ingersol-Rand pneumatic greaser too. Makes greasing quick and easy.

Moog UCAs and Moog lower ball joints pressed into factory control arms here. Truck rides like a dream with a basic suspension overhaul. Everything but tie rod ends is fresh. If your miles are high enough ( I say 70,000+ ) replace it all. If you got to get an alignment might as well make it count. Nothing wrong with preventative maintenance either.

MOOG Part # K80149 2x
MOOG Part # ES3691 2x
MOOG Part # CK80306
MOOG Part # CK80308
are those all the parts I will need? at first I was gone replace just upper control arm but then I was thinking to do all ,with 85K miles on truck its about the time, so gone spend more money on parts but do all work myself
