Dome light problem

So I have a problem with my dome light. It doesn't stay on it randomly turns on by itself. While going down the road my truck will begin to chime as if the door is open, but it isn't. So today I noticed that the dome light was on again. I have checked various fuses with no answer to the problem. Any help would be great, thanks in advance Mike.

More than likely it's the switch in the door that let's the computer know it's open..

Just curious - why are you checking FUSES? That makes no sense.

The reason I was checking the FUSES, I didn't want to mess with it anymore tonight, and didn't want it to drain my battery. That's why I was trying it find the fuse. But when I pulled the fuse for f24 the dome light stayed on.

Sorry, it sounded like you were thinking a blown fuse would CAUSE this issue. My apologies.

The mods can delete this post. I found the problem to be the door jamb switch located inside the door.

Why should they delete it? It needs to stay so others can learn from it. That's what a forum is all about.
