Most of what you read is from the small percentage that have a issue, seldom do I see people start threads just to say "no problems", those posts are usually following a rant.

Haha ... I'm only 59, have over 30 of those invested in a career as a state law enforcement officer, with 21 of those years also being assigned to an accident reconstruction team inaddition to my patrol / enforcement duties .... and in that experience .... for every "dumb old person" I saw causing mayhem I saw several "younger idiots" who caused minor, major, and too often .... fatal wrecks.

Merry Christmas all!
Very true, It was that the traffic light guys were working on the lights and the nice old lady saw one of them wave. So she thought she could go though with out stopping and looking. Since it was a van, at first thought it was cell phone mom. I could have t boned her and would have come out better maybe. No bent frame. But thought damn a van and kids in it. So I took out the front.
Here in Ontario there is not too many good 00-03 like mine a Flareside and only rust was the rad support which was getting replaced this summer. You can see the before pictures on here in my folder.

I went from a 03 KR supercrew (best truck ever) and traded it for a 07 Xlt 4.6. It was a nice truck but it didnt compare to my 03. To me the 4.6 was slower and more sluggish, seemed like my old 5.4 2 valve had more giddy up.

I traded that 07 for another 07 fx2 with the 5.4 and loved it. A big improvement from the 03. If the new truck bug didnt bite me id still have that 07.

I wouldnt worry about the 5.4 3 valve if it sounds good idling then i would pull the trigger and get it.

My 05 with the 5.4 has 147k on it and still going strong. Had one injector go at 90k the injector was the only big problem so far with the truck. Should get 200k out of it.

I'm sorry, I too like the flaresides for the sporty look and the fact that they aren't as "prevalent" on the roads.

Good luck finding one .....
