Changed cluster/dash leds. Painted rims!

Changed the cluster colors away from green into blue and white, and added leds!

Also bought some scratched up 04 fx4 rims. Wetsanded them down to a mirror finnish and painted the accents white

I sure hope so. The truck is white and I figured it was something no one has done before. It is a heck of alot of work though.

That's pretty slick. What LEDs did you use for the gauges? I haven't seen anyone use separate colors like that before

Awesome job--that ice blue/white combo looks sweet compared to green

they are just some white led replacement bulbs off of ebay. but for the colors I removed the face plate. took a razor blade and scratched the green off. then got soke clear blue film and stuck that onto the places where I wanted blue to show through

That is REALLY sharp and clean looking. I'd definitely like to see some pics once they're on. I figured you were just gonna plastidip them or something like everybody else, but that looks great.

How difficult is it to do the gauge clusters?

Yeah im not a fan of single colored rims.
The gauge cluster isnt that bad just have to be cautious. Use two spoons under each needle to pry them off. Also dont forget to rotate the needles ccw and take a picture of them so you have a idea of where they go back.

2 colors provide needed contrast. But thanks, doesn't sound too bad

How exactly did you do the LEDs for the hvac controls? And how many/what sizes were the LEDs to do the whole project? Love the look, I'd like to attempt this on my truck.
