My Mod plan, any advice?
The pics and lift are a 2wd. But no, you can lift it! Pizzaman's is a 2wd and lifted. Mine is 2wd and will be lifted at some point. I don't need, nor would I use 4wd, so it's fine. It's also cheaper to only have to regear one diff. I think lifting a 2wd makes as much sense as lifting a 4wd if it's for looks, as mine and I'm sure yours as well, would be. The only thing I was suggesting is that a 2wd needs 2" of lift extra over a 2wd, no big deal. A 6" will look like a 4" on a 4wd, which is exactly what you wanted.
Ok I get what you're saying now. Since we're talking about it, which is the better brand lift for us? And once I did that and the bigger tires should I regear? I was thinking either 4.10 or 4.56. What's the difference between the two?
Really most of the "big brand" lifts are good. I can't think of all of them right now, though there aren't too many, but Fabtech is the most common and is probably what I'll end up with. I think ProComp has one too. You likely have 3.55 back there right now, I do and most 2wds do. So a regear is highly recommended, but not required for 35's. The higher the number, the lower the gearing. A super simple way to think of it is bigger tires need a bigger number/lower gear. I'd do 4.56 for 35's and mixed driving. A 4.10 would probably be fine if you did majority highway driving. 4.56 will accelerate quicker and get better gas mileage in the city, but worse gas mileage on the highway. Opposite for 4.10 (and 3.55). Regearing makes the truck feel quicker and less sluggish, while also reducing the stress on the transmission. It's a very worthwhile $800 expenditure because 3.55 vs 4.56 when lifted on 35s will feel like it got supercharged haha (not quite).
Post number 11 is the look I'm after (I really want even more than that), that's why I want a 3" body on top.

There's no really bad brands for the full lifts for the 04-08's, just depends on brand loyalty, which one looks better to you (color wise), which one has the features you prefer, etc.
For gears it depends on the tire size you want to run and your main driving whether highway or city, and how much you tow.
Generally speaking though, 4.10's go well with 33's and 4.56's go well with 35's.

Right now in school my main driving it to and from campus about 10 minute drive and then a 4 hour round trip drive home. During the summer though it'll be all city with a trip to the beach or two (5 hour drive one way) and tow a boat twice a year. So I'm not sure which gear to go to because I do about equal driving when it comes to highway and city throughout the year.
Thanks for that link about lifting the 2wd, I saw a few pictures in there with the 6" lift and that's the look I'm going for. So for that I'll probably wait and push that off and do the lift, bigger tires and some new rims if my Raptor wheels won't work, how much backspacing do the Raptor wheels have anyways? I know they have a +34 offset but I don't know the conversion. It looks like I need about 4.5-5" of backspacing to not worry about rubbing. Then I'll add the bushwackers after I've chopped off my arm and leg with the new setup.
I forget how to calculate it, but you'll run slightly higher RPM on the highway, so the mileage is gonna be worse, but it all depends on how fast you're going. Most people see an overall increase in MPG though. You just can't drive across the state flying at 90 mph and expect decent mileage. I can barely squeak 13 mpg, with a lot of highway, as it is so it really can't get much worse. What are you getting now?
If you wanted to, you might be able to get away with doing the 6" and just keeping your wheels with the smaller tires. The smaller the tires, the more likely they are to fit without issue. I don't know the backspacing on the Raptor wheels though. It would look kinda funky, but wouldn't be terrible and would allow you to do it in pieces. I've been thinking about doing either the 3" body or 6" sometime in the next year so that I at least have something done. I have the money for all of it now, but my mom would throttle me if I lifted it and/or spent that much money, again . . . I've spent more than the cost of a lift, wheels, and tires already on mods (>$4.5k)

8.5" wide with +34 offset is about 6.08" of backspacing.

Are you asking me if the Raptor wheels are a no go? Would they work with the 6" lift and 35s? And city I get about 14.5-14.8 and going to the beach (5 hour) if I go 65-67 I got up to 15.7 which is my highest so far. I could probably have gone higher cause I didn't start at 65 it was more like 75.

I think they need 4.5-5" IIRC
I was asking Pizza if they were. But damn, I really DO flog the hell out of mine haha. I drove 200 miles at 60-65 mph the entire way (on flat to minorly hilly central TX highway I'll add) and averaged 12.x for the ~28 gallon tank at around 340 miles. I still don't know how that's even possible.
