Really hard to tell where they are coming from as far as manufacturing and long term use. I guess if you have the money to spare 70.00 is not too much for the 2 housings, but they could also be complete junk and you're back to square one, and out 70.00.

It's always a gamble but I can say I purchased those same headlights(may not have been same dealer) on eBay and was very happy with them. They lasted well over 2 years and never leaked. But I've also heard the horror stories.

In the market for new ones myself too.

Pick up a set of stock ones and make your own. I did and couldn't be happier.

Specifically, what do you do with the silicone?

Great thread because I saw these same ones and was curious to. Maybe some other time. GTA V is first!

Some people put it on as an extra layer of defense against leaks. But like I said, I never had a leaking problem with my ebay lights.

Not that it helps you any, YOMAN, but I just purchased these headlights of eBay. Spent a few extra $$ on a higher rep seller. We shall see.

I bought the same headlights, but don't know what dealer. Happy with 'em so far, but I sealed them up with silicon before ever installing them, so I can't speak for whether or not mine would have leaked without it. I've had them for 2 months now and they haven't fogged up, but I also can't say they've been out in a full-on rain storm yet.

Ryan, just apply silicone along the entire seam where the clear lens meets the black housing. If you buy some, you'll see what I mean. But if not, I can send you pics of where I applied it on mine. COMPLETELY worth the $75 IMO. My only gripe is that they don't fit perfectly, but for the money, it's not bad at all.

I think I'm gonna play around with my factories and paint them white to match, but the clear lens is too hazed and crazed to be saved I think, so they'll just be for practice.

You'll need a heat gun and a screwdriver. Heat up the joint between the clear and the black housing. Pry with screwdriver without being scared, till your able to start splitting them apart. Do this all around, and when theyre split, remove the two torx head screws and paint the housings. Its not difficult at all after you play with the first set.

I see what you're saying. I got some cheap Halo headlights back in December. It rained, they fogged, they came off. It's alright though. The headlights might as well have been running lights. I still have them actually so a test run with the silicon can be done on them. I just hadn't heard of using silicon before. I would like to see the white headlights on your truck. Would look good I think.

Did the fog/moisture ruin them? Or do you think they'd be alright to put back on with some silicon? Mrocha85 officially has my favorite truck, and headlights like his are what I'd be going for, if you want to look his truck up. I think they'd look pretty cool.
