New 04 - Holes in bedliner?

Hello all,

Just last week I picked up my 2004 XTL F150. I love it so far, although it does have a ticking, which Im hoping is cam phasers and Im planning on just ignoring that for now.

Truck came with a bedliner, tonneau cover, and helper air bags.

I used the truck for the first time today, and noticed some holes in the bedliner. I can't tell if they are meant to be there, or if the PO drilled some holes for some reason. They are about 6 inches wide, and are on both sides of the liner near the cab. Its almost like they are meant to be there, just looking at the design of the ribbing around the holes.

Anyone know why these would be here? I'd be uneasy about piling dirt or gravel in the bed for fear of it getting trapped under the liner. Any suggestions on how to cover them?

And one shot of the truck.

Electrical pass throughs. Front of the bed itself also has a large pass through. It came with caps to cover the hole. Who makes bedliner? Maybe you could contact manufacturer to get just the hole caps.

To be honest, I would yank out that bedliner and get a spray in. Bedliners are known to hold moister under it and rub the paint off. Leading to rust.

Me too ..... but don't toss that drop in .... just cut the left and right sides off so that you have a floor and front wall .... then when you are gonna haul something that might really scar up that Line-X ..... put the drop in floor in place and let it scar that.
