Got Tuneup now throwing codes

Hello,

Got a tuneup on my '05 F150 FX4. Done by dealership. Only broke 1 plug. Finally got the use my PHP tunes. Only been driving 20 miles or so before shutting off vehicle. The tuneup was done on Friday and had to make a long trip on Sunday. After 50 miles or so, my check engine light came on, wrench came on, nothing happened when I pushed pedal and then battery light came on. Got vehicle stopped. Put in park, cussed A LOT, then tried to start and it started. Check engine light stayed on. This happened about half dozen times. Got to my destination 285 miles, did my business and started trip home. Check engine light stayed on but it didn't stall on me anymore. Seems like it is still running a little rough (might be in my head). Checked to see what the codes it threw and here is what they were:

P2004
P2105
P2106
P2135

Could the tuneup cause these or is it just a coincidence. Never had any issues till after tuneup. Only problem I was having was a miss when going up hills in overdrive. The new plugs fixed that. Any help is appreciated. Hate to go back to dealer ($425) last trip if something I can do myself.

Thanks,

Brian

Take the tunes out and return it to stock, clear the codes.

If you want to run tunes with that CAI, they must be custom tunes.

GLC...they are custom tunes form PHP. They are configured form my CAI and dual exhaust. Any other suggestions. Don't want to take to dealership unless necessary. Could it be the tunes that caused this?

Maybe, maybe not. You need to return to stock and clear the codes and see.

Do as glc has advised. If it returns, then clean the throttle body and MAF. If it still returns, then I would suspect a faulty Throttle Actuator Control. It can appear to be a bad TAC when you have a dirty throttle body. Happened to me on my 2005

Thanks, GLC and Bluejay. Will return to stock and clear the codes and then load the tune again. Cleaned the throttle body and MAF not long ago, 6 months, but not since I got the plugs changed.

Then I suspect the TAC.

Is that a dealership type repair? If so, what is the going rate for something like that?

Do a search on it. It's under the dash and fairly easy to do. There should be some discussion and pics.

I have done a search for TAC and actuator and can't find anything that describes location/pics. If you know where the topic is would you mind providing me a link? Thanks

No, do NOT load the tune again - drive it STOCK for a while to see how it runs and whether any codes come back.
