Problem with my Rancho Quicklift??
For what it's worth, I installed my own, and have yet to get an alignment. Yes it rides firmer than stock, but not too firm. The best way I can describe it is solidly connected to the road. I have tested it on a nasty bit of washboard road and it handles just fine.
I tested with a level 2 on the ****, too soft, I am on level 3 and like I said, a hair firmer than factory, but firmer good, not firmer bad... I also swapped in RS9000XLs in the back set to 3, and I get a LOT less tail wagging under load...
The bumping issue as you determined was one of alignment. Yours have to be pretty far out to cause that as mine is yet to be done. and I replaced upper and lower ball joints, as well as the strut assemblies, and I have yet to get an alignment (waiting on new tires, the old ones are trashed), and my truck doesn't do that...

And for what it's worth, you should've waited to do tires, leveling kit, and ball joints all at once. By leaving the alignment still out of spec even slightly your increasing wear on those ball joints you just replaced. Whether it'll be noticeable I can't tell you, but still something for future reference.
When you replaced your upper ball joints did you perhaps set them at a different position than what they were at which would've given you a better alignment than leaving everything untouched?

Dial adjustment question
Just did same thing to my 04 .... Quicklift in front / 9000s on back .... but not sure if dials are working. If i turn all the way clockwise (to 6 oclock) the dial will only turn back to 12:00 .... not all the way back to 6 counter clockwise .... Do not want to force them ... So just wondering if i need to let them settle and will work over time. Ride is much stiffer now .... but better for sure. Just want to tweak it some more.

You should have 9 positions, FYI. SO a little more than a 6 o'clock. Let at the **** should be a 1/9 on it. When you bring it back to the "top" it should not spin any more. Hope this makes sense. Also as you firm it up, it gets "firmer" turning the **** too.

Not a difficult install, especially if you have an air impact. Rancho has a good youtube vid that is helpful, and the install is straightforward. Rears are even easier, just two bolts/nuts on each side. My truck rides so much more comfortable (level 5 setting all the way around) while fitting larger tires. Didnt get level, but the stance is still better than stock.

rancho problem
i have a 2005 toyota tacoma sport installed quick lift shocks to front end . Took the truck to have it lined up and they called me to pick up the truck said was too stiff and would not be able to line it up said i should TRY to get a refund also told me truck was a hazard to drive due to the rear KICKING out when making a turn ---and it dose very scary-- very worried about even driving it.
Ok you should have P/N RS999915 for the front parts.
These springs aren't stiff, honestly.
What kind of shop was this? This is a straight forward alignment.
We have a lifetime warranty on our products.
Good luck.

...and the front springs are not as stiff as I had hoped they would be! You listenin', Rancho Rep?
Listening.
x2 on that. IF they were as strong as stock they could be a top option. The front sag from the weak spring sucks, but the strut is fantastic.
