When I went to 35's then 37's and back to 35's the 4.56 ratio was a great upgrade. However with running 35's or 37's and 4.56's you will see a drop in MPG's. I went from 18 mpg to 16 mpg.

The mpg is going to depend on driving style. I doubt you'll see much mileage drop in city driving, and possibly an improvement due to quicker acceleration. Highway mileage would likely drop.

I had 35's and 4.56's in my 4.6L 2v equipped '01. I could get 15-16 highway out of it if I was easy on the throttle. I loved them.

Aside of the fuel economy advantage in city, the 4.56s would be a good 'just do it' improvement for the sake of our 4R75e trannys which don't like the strain of 35s. Expensive no doubt, but if the money is there, do it without a doubt for overall improvement.

i want to..and the pros deff outweigh the cons

but everyone i talked to said that it was wayy to much of a gear

that said they were talking about a 98 chevy 2500 so idk if the gearing is different in the trans or what

I have them with 35" tires on my 2004 Scab F150 with Roush charger. It it is much better but I can't give you an MPG yet because the motor is misfiring a bit and I don't have it tuned properly. It shifts crisper and quicker. I would assume around town your MPG would be better and on the highway it will be a bit worse at 75 mph. I got it all done for about $1275 parts included. It is an nice option to have but not life or death.

if I was to ever do 80 in my truck (I have 35's and 4.56's) my rpms would be well over 3k. Just saying. Right now, I live in north carolina, and most of the back roads are 55 mph. I go the speed limit and I get about 18-19 mpg. If i bump it up to 70 mph on the interstate, i get about 12 mpgs.
