Yeah. I had the same problem.

Hit it with an Air hammer, should fly off.

Or get a large breaker bar or a long rock chisel and a mini sledge and tap/hammer on it till it pops off. Same principle as the air hammer, but manual.

Don't pry on it though... you might bend or break something.

Another way is if you got a SDS handy with chisel only mode (rotation stop) with a long chisel... if you can fit that in there, that would also work.

think i overheated my engine. the top, where the intake is at is making a hissing noise. so now not only my clutch, but i believe head gasket. its going to be well over two grand to fix now. correct me if i might be wrong. i hate this bad news. i still owe 4800 on it. i got fired from the last four jobs i have had. i am looking for a new job. it has came down to car salesman and a security officer. bad truck means not being able to go to work if and when i get called to perform.

Might be a little late for this, but, the large nut (1 1/2" + -)must be removed from the nose of the pump before the pulley can be removed. Local parts stores may have the tools you can rent for this purpose. Using hammers or breaker bars are only going to cause more damage for you.

Yeah it's very late. Left head gasket is steaming out and there's leaks every where,,, I think I hit the nut so much the water pump is leaking as well... My brother several times took engines apart and fixed them.. So If I get to pay this truck off... We will take this one apart and overhaul the damn thing with high performance ****... Gonna take us a couple of years but we will manage.... I owe 4800 and its mine...

Sorry to hear about the steaming / leaking issues.

Still use the air hammer trick on mine. Used an impact on the Caged pulley and the crank end ain't broke off yet.

Good luck with engine build.
