mine made clunking noise in 2WD but was quiet in 4WD High. Fairly easy fix. I bought the hub actuator and the solenoid that mounts behind the battery. I would just buy the hub. I don't think my solenoid was bad. I took about an hour to rpelace with a lift and impact wrench and i knew what i was doing to some extent.

Ford OEM Part# 7L1zc3247a $124.47

Care to post that again in an understandable format? I'm willing to help, but I have no idea what you are trying to describe. Use proper punctuation, it allows others to understand you and you will get many more responses.

Only way to know if the hub needs to be replaced is to take it off or remove the axle to inspect the hub gears.
