Front bumper license plate install

Okay, so I ordered a front license plate bracket for my 05, and it got here today. I ordered it off ebay, an OEM 04-05 bracket. However after getting it, it don't seem to mount up like I thought it would. I know this is a stupid question, but am I missing something else to put it on? It don't look like it bolts up like I initially thought.

Here in GA we don't have to have these with license plates but bought me a decorative tag and wanted to put it on.

Thanks for the reply Tailrace but I looked at a pic online and I figured it out. Actually no bolts at all. It just kind of snaps into place. Simple enough!

Yeah I just looked at the pic of an 05 f150 and then studied mine for a minute and it made sense. I can imagine though that trying to take it off would be difficult as you can't see how it's actually holding onto the bumper. I think you'd have to reach under the bumper (very awkward position) and use a pair of needle nose pliers to break each side loose from the bottom. Then the top would be a snap

I've noticed on the new trucks some of the dealers around Houston have started installing the plate to one side of the bumper or the other and simply screwing it into the black plastic trimwork that's located in the center of the lower bumper on the '09+ trucks -- freaking morons.......

countryfordman, I have an 05 f150 and there is no mounting bracket or holes in the front bumper to install a bracket. You said you didn't need bolts though, could you post a picture so I can see what I'm supposed to be doing here?

I don't like how the stock is mounted, it kind of blocked the lower grille. So, I removed flipped it 180 and re-mounted in between the bumper and the plastic valence.

I hate this site, very inconvenience to attach picture.

Not really inconvenient if you know how. Just click on the second icon from the right above the post box, looks like a mountain with yellow background. Paste the url of the pic(must come from an internet hosted site or from an album on your profile) in the line. There are more detailed instructions in a stickie at the top of the Questions about the Site forum.

This is where the problem lies.
I did the URL thing and it didn't come out right, someone had to fixed it for me, and I don't know where "my album" is located.
This is why I don't like to hang out here.

I've never been able to get a pic to post without plucking the URL from a picture that's been uploaded to one of my albums (or some picture sharing site), and f150forum lets you post pics from/of anything with a URL (so I don't know why we don't have that ability here too), BUT that has very little impact on my opinion of this site. It's not all about the pictures . . .

And you obviously haven't spent much time on here if you don't know where your albums are located, so I doubt you've explored the site or given it a fair chance.
