Thinking about going with the Quicklift.

It's time to do front end work, including shocks. I don't see any adjustable shocks for the 2004-2008 F150 other than the Quicklift preloaded shocks.

Anyone here have them? How do they ride? I want better shocks than OE. The stock ones let the wheel bounce too much on rough surfaces like gravel roads.

I will need to decide quickly. Is it worth yanking out the Autospring level and throwing the quicklift in?

I just installed the Rancho Quicklift Loaded on my 2004 Supercrew 4x4 about a month ago and I'm really impressed with the new setup. I also installed adjustable Rancho RS9000XL shocks in the rear (I think you can install these shocks without the Quicklift strut assembly in the front as well if you just want the shocks without any lift).

I played around with the settings for a while, and I have settled on level 4 in the front and 3 in the rear. The ride is much better than stock, and is a noticeable change, but I don't feel that it was a very drastic change. Overall, though, I'm glad I installed them and I think that it was worth it. If you know that you need new shocks, I think that you will probably be satisfied with the Rancho setup.

I have the bilsteins 2" in front and 1 inch in rear. I think they ride nice. They are more firm but alot less wheel hop like the stock shocks. I also noticed on sharp turns the truck handles alot better. just my 2 cents on the bilsteins.

I considered the Bilisteins, but don't they only offer height adjustable, not ride adjustment?

I had the Quick Lift loaded's installed in July. I like the ride, and the lift.

My truck is not quite level, but its close.

I also went with new BFG Rugged Terrains LT275/65/18's. I like the ride of these. I thought they were a bit noisey, until I realized that my Right IWE was bad. It took me 5 months to get it fixed (tire installers put a new axle in for me, cuz I tore a cv joint boot while trying to install struts myself...and IWE was bad after that).

I have been playing with the settings, and found 5 to be about the best.

Give them a try!

Regards!

The quiklifts have been updated recently and now give a full 2.5" level too, vs the dinky 2" level that they used to.

For those of you that installed the Rancho Quicklift, who seems to have the best pricing? I'm in the market and missed the "Shocktober" rebate Rancho was running.

For what it's worth. I don't believe the Quicklift Loaded qualified for the Shocktober deal...

I had a good enough experience with www.4wheelonline.com buying my winch, I am thinking about trying them for my Quicklift / RS9000s. Just make sure you buy them on a protected credit card so you have some recourse if they screw up...

Two quiklifts? Or one? That sounds like the price for one. Two quiklifts and 2 RS9000XLs will run over $500 anywhere.

I just put on the RS9000's on my truck, well 3 out of 4 (had one bad front strut out of the box) still waiting on my replacement. I paired them with my 2.5" HBS leveling kit up front. I've been driving with one factory and one Rancho up front and you can tell a noticeable difference. I didn't know they give you a little more lift know...

Thanks for the input guys. I have the Quicklift Loadeds, as well as the RS9000 XLs sitting in my shop right now waiting to go in along with Moog UCAs and lower ball joints. I had intended to get the job done yesterday, but my lovely bride had different plans for my labor, specifically completing the remodel in our laundry room. Now she HAS to let me get to the truck. We need it to get more material to keep working on the remodeling projects...

Not for me since I put the Quicklift Loadeds in, but I think other members might want to know part #s on those RS9000 fronts. The RS5000 is the only shock model I see from the Rancho web site available for our trucks except for the Quicklift Loaded. It would have been nice to know if I had the option of keeping my Autospring spacer or not...

They are listed on their website here. The fronts are RS999767 & the rears are RS999286. I got all 4 for about $180 new, no complaints here
