Front Rotors replacement
Front Rotors replacement
Well guys the time has come to replace my warped rotors of my 04 Lariat 4X2, I want to know if I should go with OEM rotors or replacements from AAP Pep or Autozone, Which option would you recommend me, I want my rotors to have US bearings and no cheap chinese bearings so what options are out there
I have Powerslot slotted rotors on mine. I will worn you though, if you end up going down that road, you have to order the Centric hub as well. The 4x2 factory rotors have the hub included, so if you want to go with aftermarket rotors you'll need the hub as well. I'm sorry I know that I'm not describing this very well, so here's some pictures:

I haven't looked in years, are the 4x4 rotors the same way? I thought the rotors just floated on the hubs / wheel studs like you show on the 4x2 config above... (I did my last brake job 6 years ago...)
Get the Centric conversion kit. It includes new rotors, spindle nylon locknut, and hubs w/bearings. The 2WD F-150 uses a one-piece rotor/hub from Ford, the Centric (they make PowerSlot) kit converts it to the 4WD-style so that in the future you only have to replace the rotors instead of the hub AND rotor. I have it, the parts are top-notch, and installation is easy as pie.
